On November 28, Kellenberg kicked off the Christmas season with its annual tradition of Christmas door decorating.
Kellenberg was full of Christmas cheer as students and faculty put up their trees, hung lights in their rooms, and most importantly— decorated their doors. Each class came up with a different holiday theme, ranging from The Grinch to Santa’s Workshop. Winning homerooms will be chosen from each grade based on the room and door.
Junior Stella Becker noted, “My favorite part of door decorating is sharing the Christmas spirit with my friends.”
Not only were the students involved in decorating, but the faculty also went all out to make the school look especially festive.
When asked how it made her feel to see her freshman homeroom working together to decorate the door, Miss Doodian shared, “It makes me very happy. I love watching my homeroom work together, especially because we try to create a family atmosphere. It’s nice that we get to decorate as a family.”
All who participated had a blast, as students and faculty enjoyed listening to festive music, wearing their favorite Christmas sweater, and watching the afternoon snow flurries. The doors and decorations throughout the school really bring Christmas joy to Kellenberg.
