On the sunny Saturday, October 5th, Kellenberg hosted its annual open house for prospective students. Kellenberg’s halls were filled with the golden blazers of the National Honor Society leading tours for future students and parents. During the tour, parents and students learned about academics, apostolic activities, clubs, and sports offered at Kellenberg. Potential students were especially interested in S.A.L.T., S.M.A.R.T., Model U.N., and Speech and Debate.
This year’s open house was unique because of the addition to the beautiful new building, the Firebird Center for Arts and Athletics. In the FCAA, athletes and musicians were expressing their talent. Junior Brianna Duroseau, a member of the Kellenberg Varsity dance team, remarked, “The atmosphere in the FCAA at the Open House was friendly and uplifting. Everyone was excited for the benefits the new building has to offer.” As an anonymous attendee exited out of the new orchestra rooms, she was asked what she was most interested in at Kellenberg. She said, “I love the band and orchestra here.”
The day was beneficial for prospective students, current students, and faculty. Mr. Moran shared, “I think it was a wonderful day for our school to show the joy in our school and a beautiful display to show our school as one heart and one mind.” Open House was an overall success, displaying the school’s spirit and beauty.
