We are a Catholic School in the Marianist Tradition.

Our school lives out a Catholic Identity and encourages students to grow into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Kellenberg Memorial promotes a daily prayer life along with spiritual enhancements such as retreats, mission trips, and service opportunities that will enhance the faith life.

In addition to the academic and extracurricular programs at Kellenberg Memorial, students also share in a faith experience within the context of a Catholic school community.

All activities, both inside and outside of the classroom, are carried out in the spirit of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through the spiritual dimension of their education, students grow into mature, Christian men and women.

We are the School that Never Sleeps.

Kellenberg memorial sponsors over 80 co-curricular and extracurricular clubs and activities. 74% of the high school students participate in one or more of these clubs and activities. 92% of all high school students participate in at least one club or one sport. Participation in extracurricular clubs and activities is an essential part of the Kellenberg Memorial experience. Students have the opportunity to become involved in one or more of 80 different co-curricular or extracurricular activities.

We believe in "an atmosphere that educates."

It was in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, however, that the boys turned it into high gear and put on an offensive and defensive showing that gave them a significant lead and an eventual 46-31 win over the bayhawks. Johnny Hastings led all scorers with 16 points. Griffin Sharkey and Patrick Mitchell each chipped in with 9 points. We are One Heart and One Mind.

“All the believers were one in heart and mind.” – Acts 4:32

In addition to the academic and extracurricular programs at Kellenberg Memorial, students also share in a faith experience within the context of a Catholic school community. All activities, both inside and outside of the classroom, are carried out in the spirit of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through the spiritual dimension of their education, students grow into mature, Christian men and women. Retreat programs are held in Emmanuel Retreat House on campus, at Stella Maris Retreat House in Islip, New York and at Founderʼs Hollow, a Marianist Retreat Facility in upstate New York.

Leading Through Service

No service hours are required for students, yet 77% of students participate in a service activity, both at school and with outside organizations. Leadership is cultivated through service, and as students reach their Junior and Senior years, many opportunities arise to assume leadership roles within the school community. Peer leadership drives many activities and events. Members of the faculty guide and develop leadership skills that will last a lifetime.

We are creative.

Fine Arts are part of the Kellenberg Memorial academic curriculum.

All sixth-, eighth-, and twelfth-grade students take an Art class during the school day. Seniors are offered an optional full credit Art Portfolio Preparation course, to better train them and gain additional material for their college-entrance portfolio.

An Introduction to Music course is given to all students during their Junior Year. All seventh-grade students take Music 7, which presents the fundamentals of music theory in middle school.

High School students may choose to perform in Chorus, Band or Orchestra. All Latin School students perform in Band, Orchestra or Chorus. During the Senior year, students may elect to take an in-depth Music Theory class. In this class, students will explore the fundamentals of music composition, harmony, melody, rhythm, form, and structure.

Students are given the option of a Graphic Design course their senior year for those students who are interested in learning more about the Adobe Suite of professional digital media production software.

Our students also have the opportunity to participate in extra- and co-curricular activities including ETV, Social Media Club, The Phoenix (the school’s newspaper), Art Guild, Jazz Band, Firebird Swing, Chamber Ensemble, and a number of music ministry groups.

The Drama Club produces two shows per year; a fall musical and a spring play. Students perform in the cast, ensemble, pit-band, stage crew, and technical services in each production.

We are achievers.
