Kellenberg welcomed back a Christian worship group, Array of Hope, to inspire students with the spirit of the Lenten season on Thursday, March 5.
Merriment and joy enveloped the Kellenberg community as news about the mystery guest spread. Curiosity wandered the halls as students headed to the morning assembly, not knowing what was to come. Soon, the passionate voices of students were echoing the halls as they sang their hearts out, praising the Lord.
Array of Hope gave a memorable presentation filled with laughter, joy, and prayer; each band member described how God’s love and mercy inspired them. Following the band members’ touching speeches, the real fun began, starting with a game of “cute or not”: a silly presentation where students assessed the adorability of baby animals, and continuing on. There was a ton of singing, dancing, and meaningful apostolic videos.
Sophia Scartozzi ‘29 stated, “It brought out a way for students to connect with their faith through a way they’re more interested in, such as music.”
Videos were focused on the Holy Spirit and the season of Lent, providing a feeling of a retreat rather than an assembly.
Array of Hope is a group dedicated to revealing truths about the Catholic faith by using various different forms of media such as music, events, and short films. They wish to bring Jesus Christ into the lives of their audience members and highlight the current culture’s lack of faith.
This memorable day was a wonderful component of Kellenberg’s Lenten preparation.
