The boys Varsity Swimming and Diving Team had an incredible weekend at the CHSAA Championships finishing 6th out of 16 teams by only one point.
Seniors James Robb and Vincent Franco, juniors Daniel Barberi and Matthew Ragusa, and sophomores Brandon Kozlik and Damien Sileo all had several lifetime best swims and scored a lot of points for the team. A special congratulations to juniors Ryan Nunez, Sebastian Mora, Christian Mollica, and sophomore Peter Gentilini for swimming a state qualifying relay.
Ryan Nunez also placed first in the entire conference in the 100 butterfly, and third in the 100 backstroke, qualifying him to represent Kellenberg at the State Championship this year in Ithaca.
Congratulations to all the swimmers on a successful season! Let’s go Firebirds!
