The Girls Varsity Lacrosse team showed off their talents against St. Dominic High School in a 10-5 victory on April 22.
The defense held the Bayhawks to zero goals in the first half, thanks to the incredible playing and turnovers by Senior Ava Wayrich, Freshman Veronica Braut, Senior Isabelle Frisone, Sophomore Kate Maier, and Junior Scarlett Frisone.
Goalie Delaney Clark 25’ had a shutout in the first half and tallied 7 saves on the day!
In the midfield Senior Erin Occhino dominated the draw with 6 controls, while Senior Kelsey Nichols, Senior Morgan Farrell, and Junior Margaret McDermott combined for 6 caused turnovers.
On attack, the girls stayed calm and collected, with standout performances from Mairead O’Sullivan 27’ and Isabella Blasi 24’ who both scored 3 goals.
Senior Brigid Brown, Senior Morgan Farrell, Sophomore Valentina Puccio and Junior Ava Puccio all added a goal of their own to shut down any comeback attempts from the Bayhawks.
