The Ladies Spring Varsity Track and Field team is ending their season strong with many students being awarded for their efforts.
At the NSCHSAA Easter Classic Meet, three students were given gold medals: Senior Chrystelle Senatus in the high hurdles, Senior Kathleen Healy in the steeplechase, and Sophomore Martine Demesyeux in the intermediate hurdles.
Many Freshmen also had victories at this meet with Sienna Pimental winning the intermediate hurdles, Kayla Stair taking second place in the 100-meter race, Shannon Pulis and Erin O’Connor both winning medals in their 800 and 1500 meter races, Tatianna Magloire-Robertson achieving a shot put victory, and Damyrna Neas finishing with a bronze medal.
After traveling to the “Father Judge Relays” in Philadelphia, medals were given to Senior Isabella Espina in the Novice Mile, to Junior Olivia Spirakis and Sophomore Martine Demesyeux in the triple jump, and to the 4×800 meter team consisting of Seniors Alicia Caracciolo and Kathleen Healy, Junior Caleigh Hopkins, and Sophomore Danielle Tercynski.
