On Thursday, November 10, Kellenberg’s History Club sponsored its 20th annual Veteran’s Day Tribute Dinner. This event served as an opportunity for students to invite the special people in their lives who have served in the military to share in fellowship and prayer. The night started with a flag ceremony led by the Troop 87 Boy Scouts of Kellenberg. The packed cafeteria was then served a delicious dinner that brought both families and veterans together.
Prayers were read by seniors, such as Ava Finnegan, who reflected on her night saying, “My family has always been a very big military family, and this dinner was a wonderful way to pay tribute to the veterans and their bravery.”
At the conclusion, each veteran was called by name to stand and be honored by the crowd. Between the readings, the dinner, and the tributes, the Veteran’s Day Tribute event was a beautiful way to commemorate our heroes.
