On April 24, the Boys JV Lacrosse team won an overtime thriller over Archbishop Stepinac High School at St. Charles Field.
The team overcame a 4 goal first half deficit to force overtime behind the efforts of Sophomore Jamison Heneghan who led the offense with 5 goals and 1 assist. Sophomore Aidan Masse, who scored 3 goals with 2 assists was also a key player. In the net, Freshman Vinny Ciro recorded 16 saves, holding Stepinac to only 3 goals in the second half.
In overtime, Sophomore Tyler Fleming won the opening faceoff. Dylan Roberts scored the game winner a few seconds into the period, winning a Firebird victory with a score of 11 to 10.
The team looks forward to continuing this winning spirit for the remainder of the season.
