On Saturday, October 28th, Kellenberg hosted its third annual Firebird Fall Festival from 3:30 to 5:30 PM.
Over 700 people attended this event, with many future firebirds dressed in Halloween costumes trick-or-treating down the decorated Latin School hallway.
Members of the XLT Band provided music as the families made their way through the school.
Fall-themed refreshments of hot chocolate, apple cider donuts, cookies, and coffee were served in the courtyard after the walk.
Members of SALT ran tables of activities for the kids, which included coloring pages, pumpkin decorating, and “mummifying” a Kellenberg student with toilet paper. A photo booth was open to families wishing to capture the moment.
“It was great seeing so many families and getting to show off our beautiful campus,” stated Mr. O’Brien. “Everyone loves dressing up for Halloween, and it was wonderful to see many of our current students bringing their younger siblings with them – a true Firebird Family!”
Junior Deirdre Mastromarino, who has been helping out with the event for the past three years, shared, “It’s such a fun event to work because I was able to see all the kids in their costumes, faculty members with their families, and work my stations with my friends. It’s a wonderful event that embraces the community and provides a fun, safe environment for kids to trick-or-treat in.”
Overall, the Firebird Fall Festival was a massive success with fun-filled activities and memorable experiences for all who attended.
