On Monday, November 21st, Kellenberg’s One Heart, One Mind, Many Cultures Club invited its members to bring in their favorite Thanksgiving dishes.
Members came together to enjoy good company and home-cooked and delicious meals.
It is said that food unites which has been proven time and time again through the many ‘food focused’ Culture Club meetings over the last year. It turned out to be a popular event with over 50 students in attendance, eager to indulge in the various dishes.
Since Culture Club is about immersing yourself into different cultures, a diverse spread of dishes were served, including jerk chicken, fish patties, and numerous traditional family favorites.
Lynn Frederic ‘23 explains, “I am so grateful to be a member of Culture Club where I can surround myself with students from different backgrounds. It has allowed me to embrace my own cultural heritage and at the Thanksgiving meeting I got to truly appreciate the beauty of different cultures.”
The moderators also organized several Thanksgiving themed games to kick off the holiday break.
