On Saturday, January 25, Kellenberg held its Open House for accepted students of the Class of 2029.
This event showcased the apostolic, academic, athletic, and extracurricular aspects of Kellenberg. The day included a tour of the main building as well as the new FCAA, alumni and faculty speakers, performances by both the drama club and Firebird Swing, and talks with many athletic teams. Over the course of the day, Kellenberg welcomed about 1,300 accepted students.
The building was bustling with excitement. Mr. O’Brien says, “My favorite part of the open house is seeing that everyone coming in and everyone leaving the building is excited to start a new journey and for the new opportunities that await them as Firebirds.”
A majority of the Open House is run by students in the National Honor Society or a variety of Kellenberg’s clubs. These students have already experienced the four years that the accepted students will undergo, so they set an example as well as keep the students optimistic about them future.
Senior and NHS officer Brendan Spear says, “Because I have loved my time here at
Kellenberg so much, it makes me happy to see students who will get to have as amazing of an experience as I did. They have a bright future ahead of them.”
