During the weekend of November 18th through the 20th, the Drama Club put on their spectacular fall production of Fiddler on the Roof.
Fiddler on the Roof, by the playwright Joseph Stein in 1964, is about a quaint, Jewish family in Russia that was affected greatly by the revolution. The Kellenberg Drama Club did an excellent job re-creating this award-winning production.
The process to prepare for this musical production began back in September with auditions. The cast featured students from all grades of Kellenberg.
Mr. Murphy, the musical director, worked very hard throughout the rehearsals to get everyone ready for the big night. Stage Crew worked tirelessly to build and set up the props which contributed to the stunning stage. Although it took a lot of dedication and hard work to be ready, it wouldn’t have been possible without the dedicated members of the Drama Club and Stage Crew.
Sean O’Connor 26′, who performed the part of Fyedka, says, “My favorite part of Drama Club is definitely the people involved in it and the energy they give off on and off stage. Everyone is so nice and supportive and I couldn’t have chosen a better club to be a part of.”
The Drama Club will be having a performance again in the Spring.
