“Plastic Grass” by Shea Flannelly ’26
My heart is filled with plastic grass
Not growing or getting longer
It sits and waits for something more
But has no need for water
Some say I’m easier to maintain
That I’m shiny, sharp, and new
But all I do is imitate
For I so ever long to be used
