Every year, Kellenberg Memorial hosts St. Joseph’s Night, an evening of fun and prayer for Kellenberg gentlemen and their fathers or father figures.
The night consists of quality time such as sharing a meal and time spent in prayer. The purpose of this event is to give young men the chance to gather with their fathers, uncles, grandfathers, or teachers to grow in their connections with one another as well as their faith.
225 men attended the event; they started the night off with appetizers and a message from Dr. Paul Carpentier, who spoke about his experience raising four sons in the Catholic faith.
Guests enjoyed dinner and participated in a tower building competition. They were tasked with building the strongest tower out of only gumdrops and toothpicks as a bonding exercise.
Father Dan then led everyone into the auditorium for adoration. Mr. Tahany gave the men a spiritual reflection on his life during the time of prayer.
Father Dan says, “St. Joseph’s Night was a beautiful opportunity for the gentlemen at Kellenberg Memorial to spend some quality time with their fathers or father figures. This was a great opportunity for fellowship and prayer!”
The St. Joseph’s Night was a great opportunity for fathers, father figures, and sons to bond and grow both emotionally and spiritually.
