On Wednesday, December 8th, Bishop Barres, our Bishop of Rockville Centre, visited Kellenberg to celebrate the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. He said two masses, including one at 8:25 for the freshmen and sophomores, and at 11:00 for the juniors and seniors.
In his homily, Bishop Barres spoke about the story of the immaculate conception and how we can emulate saints. Senior Gianni Zuna says, “Mass with Bishop Barres was a special experience, and I thoroughly enjoyed his homily.”
In addition to the Bishop, Four Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist were present at Kellenberg for mass. They discussed the importance of following one’s vocation. Having such important, faithful figures present at mass was a true blessing for Kellenberg.
