On Friday, April 14th, Kellenberg’s own Varsity Softball team hosted their annual benefit game. The team played the St. Francis Prep Terriers at Bob Klein Field, home of Molloy University’s softball program.
All the money raised was donated to LICADD, the Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence.
The organization assists those who are battling addiction and offers support services for those affected by addictions. Their primary mission is to help individuals and families in crisis restore hope.
“It’s always a fun and exciting game. The atmosphere is my favorite thing about the night. Having your friends and family come to the game, playing on a college field, and all of the music playing, really makes these games memorable.” junior Ariana Corrente stated.
The Firebirds beat the Terriers with a score of 5-4. The night was memorable for all the players, coaches, and spectators in the stands. The event raised a total of $4,604.
The team is grateful for all who attended the game and generously donated.
