Kellenberg Class of 2027 wore their best cowboy and cowgirl outfit to the Western-themed Freshman dance last Friday, October 7th. Just under 350 freshmen participated in the festivities held in the Maria Regina courtyard.
This was the first high school dance for the Class of 2027, and was a great way for the students to socialize and connect with one another outside of the classroom.
It was not only was it a memorable night for the freshmen class, but also the Seniors chaperoning the night, who missed out on Freshman dances due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Senior Ashley V. reflected on this, saying “Everyone needs that character development from Freshman year.”
The legendary DJ OB, also known as Mr. O’Brien, was the life of the party, as he kept good music playing the entire night. He ended the dance with a Kellenberg classic “Piano Man” by Billy Joel.
Overall, this was a special night for all in attendance. Credit for planning the dance goes to Freshman GSO (General Student Organization) and all the teachers involved in making it a special night.
