The General Student Organization, one of the many clubs Kellenberg offers to its students, is preparing for the junior class’s ring banquet that is held in May.
The students do the behind the scenes work for all that makes that day so special for the junior class. During the beginning of the year, they organize ring payments and distribute information on how to purchase a ring.
Nadia Sapano ‘23, a member of G.S.O., says, “The G.S.O. students have been working very hard making the Junior Ring Banquet possible. We create the decorations and themes tirelessly during the year, meeting throughout the week to fulfill this goal.”
As the year goes on, the club starts to brainstorm what the central theme of the event will be. This year the central theme is “Around the World” and will focus on international countries and their culture. Students now are designing and building the decorations for the exciting event. The club’s moderators are Mrs. Prosceo and Mrs. Bernardini.
Mrs. Bernardini says, “Junior GSO is a great way for students to get together to plan and decorate for the Junior classes ring banquet. We bring students together to form ideas and execute them by painting and building all the decorations needed to transform the gymnasium into their theme.”
The members of GSO are so excited for the junior class to see all the hard work they have been putting in this year.
