The Kellenberg Spring College Fair was held on May 3, 2022.
Prior to the event, students had the opportunity to register for a barcode that could be scanned by the college representatives at the fair. When the barcode is scanned, the college representative could see the student’s name, birthday, school, year of graduation, GPA, SAT or ACT score, academic interests, race, and ethnicity.
The college fair took place from 6:15 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on the St. John field. The fair was open to all students but was aimed mainly at juniors. The field was packed with almost the entire junior class and their parents.
There were over 100 colleges and each had a table, with an admissions representative. Some schools even had alumni from Kellenberg representing their college. Every admissions representative was very friendly and answered any questions the students had.
Most schools discussed the majors and minors they offer, their average class sizes, residence halls, and much more. Students could also ask about both merit and need-based scholarships. Overall the college fair was incredibly informative and helped so many students!
