On Monday, March 28th, Kellenberg held a Senior Transitions Program for the entire class of 2022 to attend. Students congregated in the auditorium to view a presentation on financial literacy put together by Mrs. Tartamella and Mr. Cartier.
The duo shared valuable insights on how to transition from a high school senior to a financially responsible adult. Tips on saving for retirement, taking out bank loans, and using credit cards responsibly were among the topics discussed in the presentation. These concepts are incredibly important for Kellenberg’s seniors to understand as they move into adulthood and financial independence.
Those who attended reaped the benefits that the presentation provided. Senior Aidan Galvez displayed his praises by saying, “I found the presentation very interesting and I think I’m more ready for college than I would’ve been if I had not attended. I never knew how predatory the credit card companies are and I will definitely be cautious in the future.”
The presentation was a major step in the Class of 2022’s comprehension of financial literacy and will certainly have an impact on Kellenberg’s seniors for the rest of their lives.
