On Tuesday, November 23rd, 2021, Kellenberg Memorial hosted a Thanksgiving prayer service for the students and faculty. Students from grades 9 through 12 gathered in the auditorium before the start of classes. The Mass was led by Fr. James Hansen of St. William the Abbot and it was a beautiful ceremony that focused on what we should be thankful for.
Sophomore Ava Giuliano expressed her joy within the formality, stating, “It was a welcoming service and it allowed me to realize everything I was thankful for.”
At the end of the ceremony, Mr. O’Brien asked teachers in the crowd to tell tales of their Thanksgiving traditions. The traditions mentioned varied in the performed activities, and included but were not limited to cooking food, playing football, and watching movies.
Regardless of what thrilling activities one participates in during the Thanksgiving season, it is always a time where everyone shows thanks to the people around them.
