On Wednesday October 2nd, Kellenberg students and faculty gathered for the first XLT of the 2024-2025 school year.
XLT is a monthly religious activity that focuses on Eucharistic adoration and a witness talk from a member of the Kellenberg family.
As always, XLT began with dinner. Following the meal, teachers and students joined together in the auditorium for an hour of silent adoration.
For the first XLT of this year, Mr. Kirk gave the witness talk. This is the first time he has spoken at an XLT in almost a decade. Mr. Kirk commented, “One of the coolest things about Kellenberg is the students. We might put up a new building, a bowling alley, or a new gym, but the greatest thing we have here is the students. It is what makes the school, and events like XLT, so special and unique.”
Kira Petrosky ‘26, a member of the XLT band, said, “My favorite part about last week’s XLT was the music. I was super excited when we got to sing some songs we haven’t done before!”
XLT is a great experience for students to take some time to put themselves in a prayerful mindset and focus on their faith for an hour, despite many students’ busy schedules. Students listened to great music performed by Kellenberg’s XLT band, attended Confession, and joined in prayer with their friends and teachers.
Kellenberg looks forward to upcoming XLTs, which are held on Wednesdays every month.
