Members of Junior CROSS started off Halloween on a good note by making holiday themed gift bags stuffed with candy for the elderly in the Queen of Peace residence.
The gift bags brought much needed Halloween spirit to the residents of Queen of Peace nursing home. They were delivered to the residence by Bro. Michael Gillen, S.M. This is one of the many instances that Junior cross has connected with residents at the nursing home, as they are involved in a pen pal initiative with them, in addition.
Queen of Peace is a nursing home in Queens Village run by the Little sisters of the Poor. Dedicated to serving the elderly poor, Little Sisters of the Poor are an international congregation of Roman Catholic women religious founded in 1839 by Saint Jeanne Jugan.
