Kellenberg celebrated a very special 100th birthday earlier this month on September 11th.
Mrs. Dougherty, a long time friend of Kellenberg, turned 100 this past September 11th. To celebrate, Bro. Kenneth Hoagland, S.M., planned a special birthday event for her.
Early that morning, all the Senior Community Leaders for the Freshman homerooms gathered in the lobby with candles and cards to sing Mrs. Dougherty “Happy Birthday.”
The Senior Community Leaders were very excited to participate. Declan Sheehan ‘25 said, “It was really nice to be a part of the birthday celebration; having had 100 birthdays in her life I hope that we were able to make this one really special!”
Mrs. Dougherty was surprised and grateful to see 80 smiling faces singing for her birthday.
Mr. Finn says, “Mrs. Doughtery is a wonderful friend of Kellenberg Memorial and we were so happy to have our students partake in wishing her a happy 100th birthday.”
