On December 8th, Kellenberg students celebrated Mass for the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. The Immaculate conception commemorates the conception of Mary without sin. This is an important day in the Catholic Church, and as a Marianist school, it is especially important.
Three special individuals said mass for this significant feast day. Bishop Barres, the Bishop of the Diocese of Rockville Center, said Mass for Juniors and Seniors in the auditorium, Father Matt brown, S.M., who graduated from Kellenberg in 2011, said Mass for Sophomores and Freshman in the gym, and Father Andre-Joseph Fetis, S.M., celebrated Mass for the Latin School in the cafeteria.
Fr. Andre-Joseph Fetis, S.M., is the Superior General of the Society of Mary, making him a leader in the Marianist community and one of the most prominent Marianists in the world. Kellenberg students are grateful for the opportunity to be led by such influential and devout Catholics in mass.
