On October 5, 2022, the Kellenberg Memorial family gathered to celebrate the first XLT of the 2022-2023 school year.
The night began with dinner provided by Kellenberg, which allowed students and teachers to socialize before the prayer service began. After dinner, everyone gathered in the auditorium, where the Blessed Sacrament was presented by Fr. Daniel Griffin, S.M., ‘02. The XLT band, which is run by Mr. Bursig, played spiritually uplifting music for everyone to listen to during adoration.
The students then listened to the speaker of the evening, Mr. Ruhl. Mr. Ruhl spoke about the story of the Prodigal Son and its meaning in our lives today. The prayer service closed with more songs and prayers led by Kellenberg’s XLT band.
Lauren Dunne ‘23 said “XLT is a great way to hang out with friends and is a time of peace in the middle of a busy school week.” This XLT had over 200 students in attendance and was a great way to spiritually begin the school year!
