On the weekend of November 18 to November 20, eleven Kellenberg students traveled to Cornell University for the Science Olympiad Cornell Invitational. The competition itself took place on November 19. The topics of the events ranged from Earth Science, Chemistry, Engineering, and more. The students were determined to put up their best fight in hope of winning medals in their events.
Although all eleven students worked hard in their competition, seniors Lauren Dunne, Sloane Sackett, Angelina Scalice, and junior Jason Vasconez won medals in STEM-related events.
Lauren Dunne, the Science Olympiad President, said, “Science Olympiad is a great opportunity for students of all grades to explore their interests in STEM and make fun memories through going to these competitions.”
Not only did the team receive great success at this event, but they made memories that will last a lifetime.
